This Asian fella was dressed up the way we Finns don´t do. We use all black in late autumn, winter and early spring. Don´t know why this is but it´s true. When we went to the bus everybody else was wearing all black. Not suprisingly it was raining. November is a black grave by Reijo Mäki, it´s a book that I own. Very well named concidering the circumstances in Finland at this time of year. Dull, dull skies. Skywatch Friday
Nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain
Minulla on punainen takki, oranssi huivi ja pipo. Jalassa kukalliset kumisaappaat :D
ReplyDeleteOolrait, hyvät sulle. Ite vedin kokomustissa. 👍
Deletea gray Nov rain
ReplyDeleteIndeed Carol, indeed.
DeleteI've always loved this song!
ReplyDeleteThose fellas ROCK!
DeleteInteresting about wearing all black in Finland. Here in Oklahoma, Tulsa and Oklahoma City are only 90 miles apart but people dress compeltely differently and the houses are designed differently. Oklahoma City is cowboy country and Tulsa is on the edge of the Ozard mountains.
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting, makes one wonder why that is.
DeleteHe's wearing very bright colors! It does look cold and bleak.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it´s just that.
DeleteWearing colourful clothes is a good idea on grey days, is it not?
ReplyDeleteYou´re right there my friend.
DeleteI can relate to dull skies, lol. I like the pop of colour in the man's winter outfit.
ReplyDeleteSorry about you relating. Bit of color elevates the grayness to another levels.
DeleteWhat a fascinating little tidbit about your neck of the woods tradition in terms of seasonal clothing preferences.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
You´re wellcome. 🙂
DeleteIt been raining off and on, in my neck of woods.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Sorry to hear that. I´m having my morning cup of coffee just now. ☕
Delete...dull skies here too.
ReplyDeleteIt´s hard to take good photos if light is dull.
DeleteNovember is the month were the Chicagoland area has many deary days including rain or snow. We already had our first snow storm with icy staircases and car windshields. But next week we are expecting 50s. Welcome warmer weather. Black is a color worn here also. At night it is really hard to see folks walking about. Similar weather and habits where you live.
ReplyDeleteWhutta coincidence. Lahti was often called Chicago of Finland. It was due our multible slaughterhouses (vs. your meat district). Funny how we are world apart but still many ways common.
